Simple. YES!

I did work experience with my aunt at the age of 13 and that was it. I managed to gain a Saturday job from there and then an apprenticeship when I left school. The rest is history and the reason I am where I am today.

I am so grateful for my introduction to hairdressing, it really was the best in the area at that time. I think it’s also a reason why I fell in love with education!

I knew this question was coming!

In all honestly it’s been in the pipeline for a long time, it’s a tough one to pinpoint why I never just went for it before. I guess, other opportunities always came my way, opportunities which I just couldn’t turn down as they offered so much growth and experience.

However, alongside any of my previous roles I have always been self employed and had my own wonderful and loyal client base, so I always enjoyed the best of both worlds (although often felt like there wasn’t enough hours in the day!).

I have always felt so privileged and so proud of all my achievements in my previous roles, they taught me so much professionally and personally. I guess how I see it now on reflection is I had to do each of them to get me where I am today. They were all incredible stepping stones, giving me the confidence to become my own boss.

I am so blessed to have such loyal clients cheering me on the whole time and finally in late 2022, I bit the bullet with the most amazing support of my husband and made the leap. None of this would be possible without him.

BEYOND will offer me maximum flexibility around my family yet still fulfil my business drive and passion. The business plan continues and this is just the very beginning…

Oh, interesting!

Well I have actually worked as cabin crew before my hairdressing teaching days, and that was lots of fun! I met the most amazing individuals and my confidence grew so much in this role, no day was ever the same, and I saw all sorts! But, for me that role personally is definitely a pre mummy role and I’m now such a home bird!

So, if we are talking what I’d do now if I were no longer a hair stylist, I’m just not sure. I love being practical, being around people and I love a good project!

Day - A good cuppa! Milk, no sugar if you’re asking :)

Evening - You can’t beat a glass of bubbles!

Spending quality time with my boys. Time is so precious and before you know it the year is over! This is a massive drive behind the business to allow us more family time.

Me and my wonderful husband, are big foodies and love a good local meal out when we have childcare, which if I’m honest, is rather rare!

Now that would be telling!

I will say nothing more at this stage. Lets just say these plans are already in the business plan and have been since day one. In fact the BEYOND space now has been created with this in mind… watch this space.
